Description: Bell Dandi is a priestess who lived in the luscious forests of Ellinia in the Maple World. She possesses the power to heal others, and channels her magic through her staff, Magicodar. Bell has long light-orange hair that is tied with a bow, and a large ahoge. She is unflinchingly kind and always willing to help others, and is normally trustworthy of other people. Bell has a dragon companion named Puff, who assists her in battle. However, ever since Bell was thrown into the “real world”, Puff’s combat abilities are not needed, so he usually hangs out in his natural habitat, the netherplane. Bell is occasionally confronted by Maple monsters that have leaked through to the “real world”. Bell also has a battle angel named Verthania, who also assists her in battle. Bell can channel a powerful spell with her angel called “Shining Ray”, which engulfs multiple targets in holy light. Bell can shield herself in pure mana if the need arises, preventing her from taking damage. However, the shield, if on too long, will buckle and she will be afflicted with mana sickness. Bell is also immune to death so long as she is revived in time. Due to a priest’s nature to often get killed in combat (they are the first to be targeted), priests have a fail-safe device in which they can be rescued from death by channeling the Invincible spell through their respective staffs. However, Bell has invested so much time in this skill (she feared death when she was younger) that she does not suffer from mana sickness or living sickness after being revived.
In Maple, Bell was quite popular as being one of the fastest-learning priests and has a reputation for being the best reliable priest available. Bell has a younger sister, named Kathy Dandi. Bell and Kathy are polar opposites of each other, as Kathy is notorious throughout Maple for being the worst person to ever grace the Earth. However, Bell protects Kathy dearly from all those that try to hurt her (despite the fact that Kathy started it). Bell does not condone Kathy’s behavior, but loves her with all of her heart.
For some unknown reason, Bell and Puff were thrown into the “real world”, where she (Puff was in the netherplane, and cannot be called out of it if Bell is unconscious) was found unconscious by Samuru Satou. This led to some difficulties as they were being chased by a Maple monster, which led Samuru having to run while carrying Bell and hiding until she regained consciousness. When she did, she defeated the Maple monster, but saw that Samuru had mortally wounded himself—allowing her to show her healing abilities to him. However, this healing tipped her over her recommended mana usage and she again fell unconscious, and Samuru carried her to his house and allowed her to rest for the night. However, Bell was assuming that Samuru was going to let her stay and was planning to leave, but Samuru boldly asked her to stay with him. Bell said that she had nothing to offer as compensation for a free place to stay, and Samuru said that it didn’t matter. However, Bell found that domestic chores and cooking was a great way to pay Samuru back for his hospitality.
At first, Bell was not attracted to Samuru, but she eventually developed feelings for him due to his kindness and his determination in making her as happy as possible (like using his saved money for computer parts to buy her things without hesitation), and Samuru quickly became the most important to Bell’s heart. Samuru and Bell developed a romantic relationship; however, with Samuru’s clumsiness with women and Kathy’s beserker attitude, nothing really happens. When she was introduced in school, she quickly rose in popularity so much that the she overthrew current most popular student, Maori Yukishiro (Mayu); this led to Bell and Mayu becoming arch nemesises at school (the hatred is one-sided, as Bell considers Mayu to be her closet friend). Bell also took up a part-time job as a waitress at the HOPI Café, in which her popularity has drawn in so much customers that the owner, Hawagawa Negaski, declared that everyone at the Satou Residence (and Hikari Nayami) is allowed to eat for free. Bell's kind and cute personality draws in many tips.
Bell has no problem wearing provocative clothing. She wears cosplay items and other lingerie items, and her normal wear usually consists of garter belts, stockings/thigh-highs, and high heels.

Description: Ailoki Ai is a hermit who lived in the freezing mountanous area of El Nath in the Maple World. She is extremely agile and able to jump long distances. She attacks with throwing knives called Steelies, which are magical in nature and are replenished with mana. She uses a blade-mounted glove, called the Black Scarab, for close-ranged combat, but she is skilled with a variety of weapons, including real-world firearms. Ailoki has long purple hair which she keeps tied up with a ribbon. She is generally sarcastic with a non-engaging personaslity, and she speaks in a near monotone. She shows no emotions. Her main ability is “Shadow Partner”, which causes a shadow copy of herself to emerge from her back which allows her to throw knives twice as fast. Since she has lived all of her life in El Nath, she is virtually immune to frostbite (and ice damage, such as those from Kathy) and many diseases. Ailoki can disappear into thin air with her Dark Sight ability, and only those with powerful perception can find them (the only person who can find Ailoki who has dark sighted is Hikari Nayami). Ailoki also can shapeshift into anyone she wishes so long as she has been able to study them long enough.
In Maple, she is notorious in El Nath due to her tracking abilities and her job as an assassin. She has never failed an assassination job, but she will refuse to assassinate anyone without just cause. Despite her job of killing others, her personality was actually cheerful and happy. She also had a boyfriend, Maekolir Ayuno, whom she loved to tease and play around with. However, after his death, she lost all power to feel emotions, leaving her in her current state.
As with Bell, Ailoki was thrown into the “real world” due to unknown reasons, and she lives at the Satou residence. Ailoki was found by Bell when both of them encountered the same Maple monster, but Ailoki was hostile towards both Bell and the monster, but Bell managed to plead with her after they defeated the monster. When Ailoki was introduced, she was wrapped from head to toe in elastic bandages, which she used to protect herself from the freezing cold of El Nath. This led Samuru and Bell to assume that she had been horribly disfigured from her environment, but Ailoki revealed herself to be exceptionally beautiful (with big breasts).
Ailoki has gotten interested in theoretical physics, especially string theory, because it might reveal a solution that would allow them to try to communicate with Maple. Ailoki often pays little-to-no attention to anyone else unless something interesting is happening. She is always constantly reading. At school, Ailoki is extremely popular among the seniors for her superb physique and her athletic abilities. However, she is not as popular as Bell or Mayu due to her cold exterior and her unwillingness to socialize. She has started the theoretical physics club, in which she is the sole member due to nobody understanding the topic.
Ailoki wears her schoolgirl uniform everywhere she goes, despite having other feminine clothing.

Description: Kathy Dandi is a mage who lived in the sky islands of Orbis in the Maple World. She possesses the power of lightning and water, and channels this magic through her staff, Kage. Kathy has long yellow hair. She is very rude and obnoxious, often speaking incoherently and irrationally in order to provoke people. She curses to no end, and would steal other people’s items whenever she has the chance. Kathy is very powerful, having mastered the ways of both ice and lightning (only a few mages have been able to do this). This mastery of both allows her to cast an extremely powerful skill known as “Composition”, which causes both ligthning and ice damage. Even though Kathy is younger than Bell, she is more powerful than Bell is. Like Bell, Kathy has a mana shield that can protect her from incoming damage. Kathy’s shield is considerably more powerful than Bell’s, and could stay up longer than hers, but if it stays on too long, Kathy could be afflicted with mana sickness. Kathy, however, has the unique ability to recover from mana sickness fairly quickly. While mana sickness often lasts several days to a week on other magicians, Kathy often recovers from mana sickness in less than an hour.
In Maple, Kathy is infamous for being the a complete a--hole to everyone. She uses her feminine wiles whenever she can to lure males just so she can take all of their weapons, armor, and money. This is in contrast to her older Sister, Bell Dandi, who is known and respected in the Maple World as the most reliable priestess. Kathy is often tolerated when she is with Bell because people do not wish to be enemies with Bell. Kathy will often exploit this as much as this can, driving people to pure insanity. Bell is the only person in which Kathy shows respect to, and Kathy shows her older sister so much respect that Kathy doesn't even refer to Bell as "Bell", but as "Big Sis" (Onee-sama if you're an otaku).
In the real world, Kathy attends the same school as Samuru and Bell. She is the most popular girl in her class, and she uses this to her advantage. She pesters all the males into giving her gifts and other free items such as food by flirting and using other feminine wiles. However, she hangs out with one student from her class the most, Shinji Tayaki. She is the dominate one in their "relationship". Kathy also works with Bell as a waitress at the HOPI Cafe, and she's cute enough to attract customers to the restaurant. Her performance is less than satisfactory since she often is rude and blunt with customers, takes multiple breaks per hour, and eats free desserts constantly from the menu (since Mr. Negaskii lets them eat free, she takes full advantage of this). Mr. Negaskii has often scolded her for her poor performance, but Kathy knows that she cannot get fired because Bell will not allow it.
Kathy does not usually wear girl clothes because she finds them to be uncomfortable. She usually wears Samuru's old clothing. Her usual wear consists of jackets or sweaters over a T-shirt with jeans or pants. She doesn't wear panties, opting to wear boxers instead.

Description: Hikari Nayami is a chief bandit who lived in the toy land of Ludibrium in the Maple World. She is a child prodigy that possesses expert knowledge of alchemy. Hikari wears a bandana and has long blue hair. Her personality is often playful and naïve, and she has a strong tendency to grab women’s breasts. She attacks with a mithril-tipped dagger known as the Cursayer, which she calls “Cursayer-chan”. She also wears a male sauna robe that has powerful enchantments on it. Her attacks are mainly from her alchemist backgrounds. Her most powerful skill is making explosive concoctions out of almost any object she could find, with Maple money (mesos) being the best material for making explosives. Despite her playful personality and young age, she is stronger than all of the Maplers on Earth. Hikari is quick enough to place a decoy of herself for the enemy to target. This often allows her to perform a counter-attack. Hikari can also dark sight like Ailoki (however, Ailoki’s perception is high enough to find Hikari). Due to Hikari’s expertise in alchemy, she has the power to create almost any potion that anyone asks of her.
In Maple, Hikari trains under the most powerful Shadower living, Grand Alchemist Noovu Ztorri, along with others. Their team mostly studied the temporal anomalies in the Warped Paths of Ludibrium.
Hikari loves breasts, and often calls them “plushy”, and combined with her agility (surpassing those of Ailok) and her stealthiness, her sexual lust is often easily satisfied (she doesn’t know that what she is doing is sexual in nature; she just loves grabbing breasts). Before Hikari was drawn into the “Real World”, she was writing her second doctoral thesis on the magic-inhibiting abilities of lidium (ignore the “Ailoki clone” story. Lidium is now an almost-theoretical and extremely powerful ore).
Like the others, Hikari was mysterious thrown into the “real world” by unknown means, but she was unaware of her predicament. She was found by Samuru and Bell on their first date when Hikari was fondling Bell’s breasts (Bell believing Samuru to be doing it). Hikari revealed herself without hesitation and she was taken into the Satou residence for a short period. However, with no extra rooms and money running short, they couldn’t possibly support another person. Maori Yukishiro (Mayu), who was visiting in order to woo Samuru, was asked by Bell to be Hikari’s guardian, but Mayu refused at first. However, when Mayu was walking home, she was attacked by a Maple monster, only to be saved by Hikari. This caused Hikari to have no choice but to reveal her non-human status to Mayu (but keeping the others secret, and saying that nobody but Mayu knows of her status), and Mayu decided to open her home up to Hikari.
Hikari is often very carefree, energetic and naïve. She often grabs any woman’s breast so long as they are sufficiently large enough. However, Hikari loves to grab onto Bell’s breast the most because Ailoki, despite having bigger breasts, does not react to being fondled (and Kathy is not good enough for Hikari). Hikari has a tendency to call all males by their names + “oniichan” and all females by their names + “oneechan”—this even applying to those who are considerably older than she is (she calls Hawagawa Negaski not as “Mr. Negaski”, but by “Hawagawa-oniichan”). Since Mayu knows about Hikari’s special abilities (but does not know about the others), she often asks Hikari to make her magical potions that would benefit her or be detrimental to Bell, but these often backfire due to poor execution or Hikari not understanding certain words. Hikari doesn’t reflect on the what the consequences are of having such potions; she just makes them simply because she loves and respects Mayu as if Mayu was her older sister. Hikari attends the school that is close to the highschool that Mayu attends, and she has befriended a set of twins, Asuka and Miku Hirabayashi.
Hikari has little-to-no fashion sense as she wears her sauna robe everywhere (due to their powerful enchantments). She only wears something different when she's going to school. However, she likes Bell's clothing, and wants to dress just like her when she grows up.

Description: Xaravir is a crusader who lived in the dry, desert-like lands of Perion. He is an extremely powerful warrior, wielding a sword called the Devil’s Sunrise. Xaravir has spiky dark-brown hair, and he wears a navy blue cap over it; due to fighting and training in the sun, he has a tanned brown skin color. He also has no last name. He has a playful personality, making dumb jokes wherever he goes. Xaravir is extremely quick for his size, and can swing his powerful and heavy sword with no effort. His most powerful attack is his combo attack, which stacks orbs around him with each strike of his sword, and can be released once he has acquired five orbs, unleashing a devestating explosion. Xaravir’s body is also tougher than steel, allowing him to take insane amounts of punishment (his body can block against multiple full-on sword strike attack). Xaravir also has a unique warrior attack in which he can throw his sword at opponents, and the sword would return to him.
In Maple, Xaravir is part of the legendary group known as the Order of the Zakum, which are a group of Maplers that are watching the Caves of Zakum, and try to stop any dark forces from summoning the powerful dark monster, Zakum. Xaravir is one of the few Maplers to wear the Zakum Helmet, a powerful artifact, which he has disguised as a blue cap.

He uses a special glaive that functions as both a polearm and a staff for him to channel his magic. Sei has short, dark brown hair. Sei has a cool, calm personality and is often never joking or sarcastic. Sei has a dragon sidekick named Darichronus, whom was selected personally by Sei’s master due to Darichronus’s warrior skills. His battle angel is Aryphaeus, but Sei rarely calls him out because angels can only strengthen holy magic attacks. Sei has the ability to form a holy bow out of his glaive, shooting holy energy at targets (Bell has this skill, too, but Sei’s is considerably more powerful). Sei also has the ability to use magic guard. Sei has a unique skill (that no other priests have) that allows him to enchant his glaive with a holy aura that allows it to cut through most things.
In Maple, Sei is known throughout Maple for his strong warrior capabilities despite being a priest. Sei has three older brothers, who are all warriors. He wants to be a warrior just like his brothers, but he was placed into cleric schooling due to being born with the holy birthmark.

Description: Pheoxytha, nicknamed Pheo, is a ranger who lives in the farming lands of Henesys. She is extremely accurate with her bow—capable of hitting targets up to 3,000-5,000 meters away with her bow, the Crimson Arclancer. Pheoxytha has short white-blue hair that are shaped like cat ears (and she can move them like so). Pheoxytha has a kind personality similar to Bell, but this is more of a “forced” thing, and she is prone to violent outbursts. She also loves acting “slutty”. She has deadly accuracy, and can hit moving targets from extremely far way. Pheo is also accompanied by a support hawk, Fayyik, which often helps her spot targets, determine wind direction, and determine how fast the targets are moving and in which direction. Her special ability is to basically attach a dynamite to her arrows when she shoots. While Pheo has no defensive abilities (she is not expected to be direct confrontation of her enemies), she does have support abilities, such is Soul Arrow, which uses some mana to replenish her supply of arrows, thus giving her unlimited amounts. She also has a unique ability to control wind patterns, allowing her to place her shots easily.
In Maple, Pheoxytha is part of the Order of the Zakum, as a trainee, in which Xaravir is also part of. However, she is tasked with watching the Dark Forest near the Dead Mines from zombie uprisings and keeping dark yetis and dark Pepes away from each other, else they conspire to become Dark Yeti and Pepes.
In the Real World, Pheo lives with Xaravir, acting as his younger sister. She is in love with Samuru due to her archer tradition of marrying any male that risks his life to protect her (which is rare because her culture, women are warriors as well as men)--and Samuru managed to rescue her when she was fighting a Maple monster and her weapon was knocked out of her hand. Pheo wishes to marry Samuru, despite his reluctance and Bell's chagrin. Pheo attends the same school as Samuru and Bell, and she is extremely popular because she is beautiful and she is willing to flirt with people (simply because she can, but she loves Samuru). However, Pheo isn't as popular as Bell because of Bell's cute personality (versus Pheo's slutty attitude, which is appealing, but not "cute"). Pheo likes Bell, but dislikes her attachment to Samuru, and will try to split the two up; Pheo will often team up with Mayu or Hikari to try to break up apart (Hikari only goes along with it because she thinks it's fun).

Description: Cerenys is a priestess in the Khaini Islands of the Maple World. She specializes in offensive magics rather than defensive and support magics (like Bell). Cerenys has long green hair, reaching down to her hips. Cerenys is extremely unhappy because of the way she is treated. Despite her name meaning "beautiful flower" in Old Ossyrian, half her face is extremely disfigured, to the point of almost everyone she comes in contact with in the Maple world to treat her like an animal. When she was younger, the only person that treated her as a "Mapler" was Bell, who sees Cerenys as a kind-hearted, sweet girl. Cerenys and Bell became friends and even were given a priesthood ceremony together. Cerenys knew a very secret place in the Maple World called "Border," in which beyond the Ka'Uln Draekiyu Gyutkaenu (Old Ossyrian for Gates of Dragon Tears), which separates Maple from the other side, all magic, no matter how powerful, ceases to function. Only a few handful of Maplers know about it, and Cereyns brought Bell there before they would begin their journey to Leafre to continue their training. However, Bell was mortally wounded beyond Border when she fell off a steep cliff and Cerenys couldn't use her magic. Therefore, Cerenys carried Bell out of Border and realized that she was dead when she tried to cast magic--she refused to believe that Bell was dead and so brought her to Grendel, the Old in Ellenia. However, when she tried to sneak into town to get to Grendel (because carrying a dead body is a tad taboo) and was discovered, she was immediately charged with murder. Bell was eventually revived by Grendel when he was consulted, and Bell was clueless on who Cerenys was--so Cerenys was immediately charged with murder and put into prison without trial. Cerenys's last meeting with Bell was Bell believing that Cerenys tried to kill her. She spent five years in prison--bounded while locked in a small cell, kept in the dark and alone. She was rarely fed, if ever. However, she eventually broke out by killing the villagers and sneaking out, heading into Border and living there to avoid prosecution. She lived without magic, but she still recited her incantations regularly so that she would one day return--however, she started to develop the ability to cast magic. Because she was able to cast magic in Border, a feat that has never been done, when she entered Maple, her magical abilities were unrivaled, even by Grendel, the Old. Cerenys was treated horribly and betrayed by Bell, her only friend. She swore to get revenge on everyone, believing that the only person to trust was herself. Cerenys became apathetic and sadistic--often going out of Border and killing innocent people for no reason and often showing no signs of remorse or emotion when she kills. She was destined to get back at the world for treating her unfairly, for giving her a horrible face--she wanted one person to suffer the most, she wanted Bell, and she is destined to find Bell--wherever she may be--and make her pay.

Description: Samuru lives at the city temple that is owned by his now-deceased grandparents. His parents are working in France, so he lives by himself. Samuru is the typical nerd—he is in the Chess Club at his school and he gets straight-A’s. He wears glasses, has short spiky hair without using hair gel, and he often studies or uses his computer during his spare time. He is the average nerd in an average school living and average life. That is, until Bell came along. Before Bell, Samuru wasn’t very popular—he was one of the people where if he moved, no one would have noticed or cared. No girl would give him a second glance as he walked by and none of them would certainly have walked up and say “hi” to him. His only friend was Hayama Noitsu—his childhood friend of nearly ten years. Ever since people found out that the lovely and popular Bell was living with him, he has now climbed the ladder of popularity—much to his dissatisfaction—as the boys at school are always asking perverted questions about Bell and asking for her pictures. Samuru really likes Bell, not because she is pretty, but because she genuinely enjoys his company and takes interest in his interests. Despite his affection towards Bell, he is really bad with girls, and often he would look like an idiot or a big meanie without meaning it. Kathy and Ailoki’s arrival made his popularity sky rocket to the top of the food chain, which he still hates. His new popularity and his disinterest in any other girl other than Bell made Maori Yukishiro interested in him—people always want the very thing that is of reach. Samuru is also regularly tortured by Kathy, often nearly getting killed by her—this usually happens if she perceives Samuru taking advantage of her older sister. Samuru is also on the baseball team—dragged there by Hayama, and attends practice every now and then. Samuru is also an atheist despite running the Buddhist temple.

He is excellent at sports, but is thoroughly pwned against Ailoki. Hayama has short black hair. He has an interest in Bell, as he finds her innocent, kind personality combined with her heavily-sexualized appeal to be a huge turn-on. Although he doesn't seriously go for her because she likes Samuru, he tends to joke around by asking Bell out or asking her to make love to him in the presence of Samuru. Hayama has interest in anime and manga and pr0n0graphy, and loves to read it as a pastime. Even though he is considered a popular kid in school, his interest in anime goes beyond Samurr's. Hayama always drags Samuru along to anime conventions and new anime movies. Hayama has many anime figurines and other collector's items, along with a collection of autographs from anime seiyu.

Also, her high standards still cause her to be single, as she rejects every guy. However, ever since Bell took the lead for most beautiful, and Ailoki overtook the "biggest breasts competition," Mayu's popularity has extremely dwindled (although she is still extremely popular). Because of this defeat, she has began opening up and lowering her standards of "cool." Mayu hates Bell because of Bell's extreme popularity. Mayu hates Bell's sweet and maternalistic personality, believing it to be a "fake" and a "front," and that, if she is pushed far enough, will reveal her "true" personality as a bad greedy person. Mayu also has an interest in Samuru, as she wants him to make Bell sad. She also houses Hikari Nayami. Mayu knows that Hikari is something not from this world after Hikari had to reveal herself to Mayu in order to defeat a Maple monster. She now uses Hikari's potions to try to get back at Bell and other people just for the sake of it.

Description: Puff is a baby dragon, and despite his old age, is relatively young compared to other dragons. He is Bell's combat-support sidekick, and attacks using a devastating blast from his mouth. Puff usually follows Bell everywhere, but ever since they entered the "real" world, he has no choice but to stay in the temple where he resides. He can go in and out of the netherplane, which he does quite so often, and comes out for food or to play with the others. He does not talk, but he holds a strong telepathic communications link to Bell (therefore, he can only talk to Bell, and the rest has to guess what he wants). When Bell becomes a bishop, she can use her magic to accelerate Puff's age and he will become a powerful bahamut. Puff’s age is relative; time passes more slowly in his natural habitat than it does in the real world.
Although dragons can live extremely long (up to 2000 real world years), they generally die before hand. The dragons are known to pride themselves for being warriors and fighters. Dragons will fight along side Maplers until they die, so their average life span is a hundred real life years. Very few dragons live the entire dragon lifespan while engaging in battle, and those that do are celebrated as heroes, and given their own national holiday (only 3 so far).

Description: Bob is one of the lowest-leveled monsters in all of the Maple World; however, his powers are Godlike. Despite this, he only uses them to piss off people because he's nothing but a prick. Every Mapler knows of Bob the Snail. He's no threat, but he's annoying. Killing him is hopeless, as thousands have killed him and watch him die, but he still roams around Maple, ready to be a nuisance. Nobody understands why a divine being like him is wandering world being a total a**hole. Bob is believed to be as old as Grendel the Old, and even older.

It has been rumored that Bob normally hangs out with the Drakes and Kargoes down at the Sleepywood caves, which is known as the "Drake's Meat Table". This landmark was where most Maplers cited his appearance.

Despite Bob's prick-like behavior, the magic scientists of Maple wish to capture him in order to study his Godlike abilities. However, he can never be captured. Different magical devices have been known to trap him for a couple of hours to a couple of days, but this is known to be his way of toying with people, as he waits until everyone is gone, then he teleports out of his cage and eats all of their food before disappearing completely.

Bob the Snail might hold the key to connecting Maple and the "Real World", as he is able to slide into either one's dimensional plane, and he does so very often. When he appears in the "Real World", both Ailoki and Hikari wish to capture him and study his uniqueness. Ailoki wishes to study his ability to cross into Maple and back, and Hikari wishes to study him for his immortality in order to produce an immortality potion. However, efforts to get him to cooperate, whether peacefully or through force, has been futile. He's just a prick.

Bob's actual purpose is to serve as a "deux ex machina." Sometimes, when I'm drawing the comic, I get inspiration for a weak storyline, so I begin working on it. Then I realize that the storyline sucks, so I need a quick way out of the story without just ending it abruptly. Introducing all-purpose Bob... FTW.
